Mr. William Ray (Bill) Hayes, 85, resident of Swainsboro, died Thursday morning at Emanuel Medical Center.  Mr. Hayes was born in Cobbtown,Georgia son of the late  James Francis and Annie Berta Slayton Hayes.  Mr. Bill was a United States Navy Veteran. He had worked in retail sales before he retired. Bill was a member of the Emmaus Community, Kairos Prison Ministry and  Promiskeepers.  Bill and Annette had been married over 60 years.

Funeral services for Mr. William Ray (Bill) Hayes will be held Saturday December 30,2017 at 2:00 P.M. from the Dellwood Baptist Church with Reverend  Joe Bedgood ,  Reverend Phil Wilson ,Reverend Hal Wilson , and Jim Harrel officiating.  Interment with military honors will follow at Forest Lawn Cemetery .  The Family will receive friends at Tomlinson Funeral Home Friday evening between the hours of 6-8 P.M.
