Twin City

Obituary

Tomlinson Funeral Home & Crematory announces the death of Mr. Wayne Braswell of Twin City on Sunday, July 15, 2025, at his daughter's residence following an extended illness.

Wayne Braswell was better known as "Braswell" to his friends. If you asked any of them to say anything about him, they would tell you he was an honest man true to his word, and one heck of a carpenter.  His passion was fishing, especially going to the Ogeechee and the Ohoopee with his son. If you couldn't find him at his favorite coffee spot at Thompson's Minit Mart, you knew he was in his boat on the river. One quote from Wayne that stuck with his family was "Make time Count, don't count time" Wayne was famous for his peach cobbler and potato salad at family gatherings as well as his fried fish. He always took great pride in his carpentry work, not finishing until it was done right. He loved all children treating many just like his own grandchildren Especially two "special adopted grandkids" Sara Sherman and Harper Sherman.

He was loved by all. Wayne will be missed deeply and remembered lovingly by his family and friends.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter Karen Rich, son Jerry Nichols, sisters Ronella, Joann, Jeannine, and Linda, and his brothers Bobby and Ronald.
