Walter Henry Tapley, 77, resident of Swainsboro, died peacefully at home surrounded by family, Thursday, October 7, 2021.  Mr. Tapley was born in Emanuel County, son of the late Walter Hinton Tapley and Thelma Kate Bishop Tapley.  Walter  was preceded in death by his parents, his brother David Tapley and a sister Carolyn Tapley.  Walter and Glenda were married for 56 years.

Graveside services will be held Saturday, October 9, 2021  at 3:00 P.M. from Eastbrook Cemetery with Reverend Louis Pearce officiating.  Pallbearers will be Travis Toole, Tony Toole, Mark Stevens, Walt Allen, David Thurman, and Grey Thurman.  Honorary pallbearers will be Elmer Thompson, Joey Kay, George Gruiff, Henry Terwilliger and Wayne Folds.  The Family will receive friends at Tomlinson Funeral Home Saturday from  1:30  p.m. until  2:30 p.m. .
