Virginia Kirkland Herndon, 75, resident of Twin City, Georgia, passed away Wednesday, June 25, 2025 at Wellstar Medical College of Georgia in Augusta.  Virginia was born in Emanuel County, daughter of the late Robert  Abraham Kirkland and Esther Lee Harper Kirkland. She was preceded in death by her husband Richard William Herndon, brothers Eddie Benton Kirkland and Edward Lane Kirkland and sisters Ruby Caroline Wren and Sara Lou Scott.  Virginia was a homemaker..

Funeral services for Mrs. Virginia Kirkland Herndon will be held Saturday, June 28, 2025 at 11:00 A.M.in the chapel of Tomlinson Funeral Home with Pastor  Ricky Down officiating. Interment will follow in the Twin City Cemetery.  Pallbearers will be Pam Herndon Martin, Ronald Martin, Zack Martin, Hagan Allen Brown , Natalie Marie Brown and Jeff Herndon. The Family will receive friends at  Tomlinson Funeral Home Friday evening between the hours of 6-8 P.M.
