Walden, age 85, of Kite, died Monday morning, August 13, 2012 at Emanuel Medical Center Nursing Home. Mr. Walden, formerly of Frostproof, Fl., born in Glascock County, Ga., had lived in Kite since 1985. Mr. Walden was a Pipefitter, and a member of the Steamfitter Local 123., and a member of Minton Chapel Advent Christian Church. He was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Walden, his parents, Edward and Mamie Walden, a sister, Inez Whitfield, a son, Richard Walden and a Daughter-in-law, Tyka Walden. Funeral services will be Friday morning at 10:00 am. at Mintons Chapel Advent Christian Church with Reverend Raymond Brown and Reverend Robert (Bob) Rathbun officiating. Interment will follow in the Gumlog Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be: Billy Mixon, John Page, Tracy Page, Shane Walden, Michael Walden, and Toby Walden. He is survived by 4 Sons: Larry Walden (Joan) of Lakeland, Fl. Waylon Walden of Folkston, Ga. Bo Walden (Nan) of Avon Park, Fl. Charlie Walden (Debbie) of Lake Wales, Fl. 8 Grandchildren 8 Great Grandchildren The family will receive friends Thursday evening between the hours of 6 and 8 pm. at the Funeral Home.
