Tex Wallace Sheffield went home to be with his Savior and Lord on July 5 at EGRMC.  Tex was born January 13, 1951, to Wallace and Nellie Sheffield of Damascus, Georgia.  Tex retired from Georgia Southern University, after 25 years of dedicated service as HVAC Supervisor.  He is preceded in death by his parents, Wallace and Nellie Sheffield and a brother Claude Ezra Sheffield of Donaldsonville, Georgia.  He is survived by his wife, JoAnne, and his son Walter Sheffield of Statesboro, Georgia, two daughters, Amber Craft of Ellabell, Georgia and Brittney Sheffield of Statesboro, Georgia.  He is also survived by four "adopted" children who affectionately called him "Pops":  three sons: Charles Roach (wife Yulie) of Clarksville, Georgia, Sean Roach of Jennings, Florida, Daryl Roach of Baldwin, Georgia and daughter Melissa Craft of Statesboro, Georgia.  He is also survived by five grandsons:  Brandon Roach of Statesboro, Hayden Garvin of Statesboro, Brooks Brown of Clarkesville, Ga., Leon Paramo and Jay Roach of Clarkesville, Ga.  Additionally, three Great Grandchildren:  Nova Rosalyn Blair, of Ellabelle, Ga. And Zanobiyah and Zedidyah Holloway of Statesboro, GA.

In lieu of flowers, Tex wished for donations to made to Emit Grove Baptist Church, St. Judes Childrens Hospital, Childrens Hospital of Atlanta  or Shriners Hospital.
