Tanya Elizabeth Davis Smith, 72, resident of Cumming,Georgia, died Tuesday morning at her residence.  Tanya was born in Wadley,Georgia, daughter of the late Julian Lamar Davis and Bessie Powell Davis.  She had retired from the United States Postal Service after many years of faithful service.  She was preceded in death by a sister-Mary Julia Davis.

Funeral services will be held Saturday morning at 11:00 A.M. from the chapel of Tomlinson Funeral Home with George L. Smith, III officiating. Interment will follow  in Colemans United Methodist Church Cemetery in Wadley. Pallbearers will be: Andy Brimer, Taylor Smith, Pratt Mathews, Jacob Prine, Jordan Hooks, Ennis Bragg,Jr. , Kenneth Willoughby, George Smith IV, Jackson Brimer, Blake Brimer, Benjamin Brimer , Jay Wood and Richard Smith,II.   The Family will receive friends  Friday evening between the hours of 6-8 P.M. at Tomlinson Funeral Home.   In  lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to  Reading is Fundamental, 750 First Street, NE, Suite 920, Washington, DC 20002  and  Kindred Hospice, 1303 Hightower Trail #100, Atlanta,GA 30350   in memory of Tanya Elizabeth Davis Smith.
