Staten Luther Sellers, age 74, resident of Millen, Georgia , died Sunday night, June 6, 2021,  in Select Specialty Hospital in Augusta after an extended illness.  Staten was born in Emanuel County , son of the late Roy Ellis Sellers and Tina Lou Scott Sellers and   graduated  from Swainsboro High School in 1965.  He graduated from Swainsboro Tech in 1967 with a degree in Machine Shop and Tool and Die.   He was owner and operator of Sellers Machine Shop.  Staten loved to fish, especially on the Ogeechee River .  He was an avid  Georgia Bulldogs Fan. He enjoyed working on guns in his spare time.

Funeral services for Mr. Sellers will be held Wednesday, June 9,2021 at 2:00 P.M. in the Chapel of Tomlinson Funeral Home with Reverend Carroll Gay and Reverend Bill Lee  officiating.  Interment will follow at Hardens Chapel Church Cemetery near Lyons , GA. Pallbearers will be Mike Gunn, Mike Henry, Ricky Henry, Lloyd Milholland, Noot Irvin, and Bo Bishop.  Honorary pallbearer will be Bill Mixon.  The Family will receive friends at Tomlinson Funeral  Home  Tuesday evening between the hours of 6-8 P.M.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Georgia Sheriffs Youth Homes, Herrington Homestead , P.O. Box 155 , Nunez , Georgia 30448 in memory of Mr. Staten Sellers.

Staten is survived by his wife of 43 years, Lekeeta P. Sellers, of Millen,  Sister in Law, Kim Meeks and husband Marc of Vidalia, brother in laws, Craig Pittman and wife Leslee of Vidalia, and Chris Manthei and wife Debbie of Allen, Texas, numerous nieces and nephews.
