Sonya Lou Lord Brown, 69, of Soperton, Ga, passed away on  December 17,  2020 at Community Hospice of Vidalia, after an extended Illness. She was born to parents Eloise Smith Lord Durden and Jack Lord,  June 7,  1951 in Orlando, Florida. She resided for many years in Soperton, Ga, and most recently in Ailey, Ga with her beloved Sister Cora Lee Travis and nephew "Wrangler" Terry Lee Travis, Jr.

Sonya  worked as a Nurse for over 20 years. She enjoyed sharing God's Word and helping  others. And was a dedicated member of Swainsboro Church of Christ. She was an avid Florida Gators fan.

Sonya  is survived by Sister, Cora Lee Travis, Sons Rhett Lermy (Chelsea), James Surrency(Terrael), Daughters Sabra Heuett (Wayne), Shenoa Carter (Jonathan), Shanna Bailey (Rusty)  16 Grandchildren, 8 Great Grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by Infant Daughter Angel Alyssa, Mother Eloise Smith Lord Durden, Father Jack Lord, Stepfather Tole Durden, Brother James Lord.

The family has entrusted Tomlinson Funeral Home with the arrangements. A Memorial Celebration is scheduled for Saturday January 2, 2021 @ 2 PM at Swainsboro Church of Christ, 653 Turner Dr. #4602 Swainsboro, Ga. 30401.  A reception will follow
