Mr. Sammy L. Willis, 66 died Thursday, November 10, 2016 in Augusta , Georgia . Sammy was born in Tattnall County but had lived all of his life in Swainsboro , Georgia . He was a business owner/operator and salesperson. He was the former pastor at Temple Baptist Church in Swainsboro. He was a member of Swainsboro Church of Christ.

Survivors include his wife of 48 years, Pat Willis, Swainsboro, a daughter, Kristi Marsh, Columbia , SC and a son Toby Willis, Swainsboro. He is survived by 6 grandchildren, Lara Brantley, Valdosta , Ga. , Jessica (Jody) Hatcher, Twin City , Ga. , Ashley Womack, Swainsboro, Taylor Hobmeier, Swainsboro, and Lawson and Stella Willis, Fairport , New York and 5 great grandchildren. He is survived by 2 sisters, Faye Prine, Senoia Ga. and Frances Hickman, Carrollton Ga. and 2 brothers, Ricky Willis, Canoochee, Ga. and Jimmy Willis, Odessa Texas . He was preceded in death by his parents, Sam Willis and Sarah Lively Willis, and a sister Evelyn Sheppard.

Funeral Services will be held Saturday, November 12, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Tomlinson Funeral Home, with Reverend Louis Pearce and Pastor Darnell Brown officiating. Interment will be at Hawhammock Cemetery .

Visitation will be Saturday November 12 from 12:30 p.m. till time of service.

Pallbearers will be Mark Hall, Mitch Hall, Allen McDaniel, Dillan McDaniel, Eric Oglesby, and Jody Hatcher.
