Mr. Roscoe Palmer , 92, resident of Norristown , died Sunday August 7,2016 at his residence. Mr. Palmer was born in Kite ,GA ,son of the late Willie and Lavada Tapley Palmer. Brothers Harrison Palmer and Elmer Palmer, grandson Ryan Ruffin and greatgrandson Jeremy Braswell preceded Mr. Roscoe in death. Mr. Roscoe was a member of the Norristown Baptist Church since 1964 and served as a deacon for 48 years. He was a singer in the "Norristown Quartet" and had served as song leader for Norristown Baptist Church . He retired from JP Stevens after 38 years of employment and was a farmer. Mr. Palmer was a United States Army Veteran of WWII.

Funeral services for Mr. Roscoe Palmer will be held Tuesday morning August 9,2016 at 11:00 A.M. from the Chapel of Tomlinson Funeral Home with Reverend Hal Wilson officiating. Interment with military honors will folow in Mt. Zion Church Cemetery in Norristown . Pallbearers will be: Danny Palmer, Al Palmer, Jimmy Palmer, Huey Walker, Chris Braswell, and Barry Braswell. In lieu of flowers, memorial may be made to the Norristown Baptist Church or Mt. Zion Cemetery Fund. The Family  will receive friends at the funeral home from 10:00 A.M. until the funeral hour at 11:00 A.M.

Survivors include his wife of 63 years-- Marietta Smith Palmer

2 Sons--- Ricky Palmer, Adrian , GA

Ronnie (Ellen) Palmer, Adrian , GA

Sister-- Edna Bailey, Sandersville , GA

6 grandchildren, 3 greatgrandchildren, 1 greatgreatgrandchild
