Mr. Richard William Herndon, 84, resident of Twin City, Georgia , passed away Sunday evening in Vidalia.  Richard was born in Gloverville, South Carolina, son of the late George Augustus Herndon and Katherine Reynolds Poss Herndon.  Richard  had retired from the construction business and was a United States Army Veteran.. Richard was preceded in death by his parents,  brothers Larry Herndon and Wayne Herndon and sisters Lucille Kilpatrick, Shirley Eskew, and Myrtlee Blackstone  .Richard married the love of his life Virginia June 7,1966.

Funeral services will be held Friday, June 20,2025 at 11:00 A.M. from the Chapel of Tomlinson Funeral Home with Pastor Ricky Down officiating. Interment will follow in the Twin City Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Pamela Herndon Martin, Natalee Marie Brown, Hagan Allen Brown, Ronald D. Martin, Jeffery Herndon, and Zack Martin.  The family will have visitation Thursday evening between the hours of 5:00P.M. until 7:00 P.M. at Tomlinson Funeral Home.

Sisters- Clara Dukes, Emily Gonian, and GeorgeAnn Phillips
