Tomlinson Funeral Home Reid Hamilton Kasper, 61 Funeral services for Reid Hamilton Kasper, 61, of Swainsboro will be held Thursday, Nov. 15, 2012 at 3 p.m. at First Baptist Church with Rev. Randy Walden, Rev. Robert Anderson and Rev. Louis Pearce officiating. Interment will follow at Swainsboro City Cemetery. The family will welcome friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, Nov. 14, 2012 from 6 -8 p.m. He died Monday, Nov. 12, 2012. Mr. Kasper was born in Burbank, Calif. and had lived in Cherry Hill, N.J. before moving to Swainsboro, where he resided for the past 34 years. He was a member of Hines Baptist Church, Emanuel Baptist Association and AA. He was a carpenter and loved God, his family, his church and his church family. Reid loved doing for others and enjoyed golf, cooking and life, laughter and love. His favorite saying was "Let Go and Let God." He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Hamilton Kasper and Shirley Anne Root; and sister, Susan Kasper. Survivors include his wife, Ginny Maupin Kasper; son, Robby Kasper (Trudie Edenfield); daughters, Lindsey Kasper Radford (Chris Radford) and Abigail Grace Kasper; granddaughters, Katie Dawn Kasper, Brailey Hunter Radford, Colbie Raegan Radford, Laura Taylor Radford and Eleni Michele Radford; brothers, Robert Joseph Kasper and Joseph Philip Kasper of Cherry Hill, N.J.; and sister, Deborah Anne Kasper of Los Angeles, Calif. Pallbearers will be Steve Taylor, John Riner, Tyson Stephens, J.W. Hooks, Ray Wilcher and Mike Braswell. Honorary pallbearers will be AA members. A memorial fund has been set up to establish a playground for the children of Hines Baptist Church in memory of Reid H. "Poppy" Kasper.
