November 13,2012 Mrs. Reba Henry Fortner, 88, resident of Guyton,Georgia, died Monday at her residence in Guyton, under the care of Odyssey Hospice. Mrs. Fortner was born in Emanuel County December 28,1923, daughter of the late Neal Calvin and Etta Woods Henry. She was a member of Hebron Baptist Church and was a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her husband James Alvin Fortner, her brothers, Jesse Henry, John Henry, Floyd (Litt) Henry, Lloyd Henry and Berlie Henry and sisters, Trudie Kersey,Madie Scarboro, Alene Bush Alma Ridgdill, and Annie Mae Kersey. Mrs. Fortner is survived by a son Benny L. Fortner, daughterDianne W. Crosby, granddaughter-Marcy W. Hopkins and her family, Lee, great grandchildren Maggie and Phillip Poff, grandson Doug Williams and his family Rhonda, great grandsons Douglas and Dawson. Funeral services for Mrs .Reba Henry Fortner will be held Thursday morning at 11:00 A.M. from the chapel of Tomlinson Funeral Home with Reverend Herman Walden and Reverend Donnie Bush officiating. Interment will follow in Lambs Cemetery. The Family will receive friends Wednesday evening between the hours of 5-8 P.M. at Tomlinson Funeral Home.
