October 21,2014 Mr. Ralph Frederick Frye, 93, former Swainsboro resident, died Tuesday morning (10-21-14) in Wrightsville. Mr. Frye was born in Hart County,Georgia son of the late Jesse Claude and Ida Zoe Seawright Frye. Ralph was a graduate of the University of Georgia receiving a degree in Ag-Science. He was a veteran of WWII having served in the 151st Field Artillery Battalion and the 34th Infantry Division in North Africa and Italy . He had served as county supervisor for the Farmer's Home Administration for the United States Government. Mr. Frye was a member of the Swainsboro First United Methodist Church and had held many offices and positions during his 50t years of membership. Funeral services for Mr. Ralph Frederick Frye will be held Thursday afternoon at 2:00 P.M. from the Swainsboro First United Methodist Church with Reverend Scott Brenton officiating. Interment with military honors will follow in the Swainsboro City Cemetery. Pallbearers will beMatt Thomas, Scott Thomas, Nick Bedgood, Bobby Peacock, Gene Ragsdale, and Al Lawson. The Family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Wrightsville First United Methodist Church and the Swainsboro First United Methodist Church in memory of Mr. Ralph Frederick Frye.
