Phillip had been a member of the Keas United Methodist Church since childhood and had most recently attended Swainsboro United Methodist Church.

He leaves behind his wife of twenty five years, Carolyn Giles Braswell, Swainsboro, GA, children, Tori Lariscy (Brad), Pooler, GA, Kristie Braswell, Wilmington Island, GA, John Skipper, TX, Mike Skipper, Swainsboro, GA, his bonus children, Matt Follis, Thunderbolt, GA, Chelsea Price, Swainsboro, GA, his sister, Lana Faye Haywood, Wilmington, NC, two brothers, Joseph Eugene "Gene" Braswell (Patsy), Dublin, GA, David Kenneth Braswell, Huntsville, AL, grandchildren, Dylan Lomas, Harper Lariscy, Christa Braswell (Bradley), Kristi Skipper, Nikki Minton, several nieces and nephews and his two fur babies, Bandit and Buffy.
