Nancy Goode Schoendienst, age 61, passed away April 21st after an extended illness. She moved to Vidalia 13 years ago from Jacksonville, Florida to live with family. Nancy had several jobs while living in Vidalia, most recently at Belk and Lowe's. She had two daughters, Jennifer Manet Schoendienst (deceased) and Mary Kendall Schoendienst of Austin, Texas. She is survived by her parents, Bobby Joe and Peggy Walker Goode of Vidalia, a sister Jane Goode Morgan (Harry) of Fort Lauderdale, Florida, a brother Joel Walker Goode (Stephanie) of Bulverde, Texas, niece Kimberly Morgan (Abingdon, Va.) and several nephews, Mitchell Morgan (Vidalia), Forrest Morgan (Fort Lauderdale), Jake and Luke Goode (Bulverde, Tx). Nancy had many other relatives who were special to her.
She grew up in the Baptist Church and after her marriage, converted to Catholicism with her husband. Nancy enjoyed music, gardening, cooking, College sports, and meeting people. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends. In honor of her wishes, no funeral services will be held. Twin View Nursing Home and Community Hospice provided excellent and compassionate care for Nancy at the end of her life. All the prayers, calls, cards, and visits were very special to both Nancy and her family.
