Obituary for Morene Goodson Kimball
September 13, 1921- November 25, 2022
Morene Goodson Kimball, 101, passed away peacefully November 25, 2022, at Twin Lakes Community in Burlington, NC. She was the beloved wife of 64 years to the late Julian Harry Kimball, Jr. and the much- loved mother to Linda DuRant of Raleigh, NC and the late Dan Kimball of Kite, Georgia. She cherished her granddaughters Allyson Strickland (Brett) of Dothan, Alabama and Andrea King (Mark) of Burlington, NC. Being great grandmother to Jonathan, James, Rachel, and Luke Strickland and Jordyn and Sarah Kathryn Maness always made her smile.
Morene was a member of Lindley Park Baptist Church in Greensboro, NC for 35 years. She loved teaching Sunday School to children as well as adults. As traffic started getting busier and busier in Greensboro, and the city was taking away their neighborhood to build a beltline around Greensboro, she and Harry decided to moved to Swainsboro, Georgia, where Harry was from. Morene was a member of First Baptist Church.
In 2013, she moved to Raleigh, NC to be with Linda. She enjoyed attending St. Paul's Christian Church, eating out (K&W), and working on word search puzzles.

Morene always enjoyed visits from her four nieces and two nephews. Steve and Rhonda Goodson in Johnson City, Tennessee; Cheryl Goodson in Brunswick , Ohio; Lynne Henderson(Claude) in Norfolk, Virginia; Carol Phillips in Burlington, NC; Bill Albright in Mebane , NC

She will be dearly missed and forever in our hearts.                                                                                                                                Graveside services will be held Saturday afternoon at 1:00 P.M. from Forest Lawn Cemetery in Dellwood.
