She was confident of the peace she would feel when she passed into the hands of the Lord. Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m., Sunday, December 16, 2012 at the Wadley First United Methodist Church. Burial will follow in the Wadley City Cemetery. Pallbearers will be her great-nephews Justin Bargeron, Andrew Durr, Clayton Naylor, Zachary Naylor, Jake Johnson, Henry Johnson, Mark Morrison, Charlie Morrison and Tyler James. Honorary pallbearers will be the members of the Will Evans Sunday School Class. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Edgar Hooks and Robert H. McDonald; parents, Andrew Lloyd and Beulah Bragg Brannen; sisters Julia Brannen Morrison and Mae Brannen Johnson; and her brother Richard Brannen. She will be remembered by so many who loved her, especially her sisters, Ruth Bargeron and Alma Sanders and brother Andrew Brannen. She adored her family and was blessed with many nephews, nieces, great-nephews and great nieces. "Bill" was an active member in the Wadley First United Methodist Church, The Night Circle of the United Methodist Women and the treasurer of the Will Evans Sunday School Class. During her lifetime, Bill served her country as welder in the naval yard and owned and operated a dry cleaners for many years in Wadley, Georgia. Bill was a member of the Jefferson County Library Board for 20 years. She enjoyed her retirement - traveling, reading and spending time with her family. She was an avid fisherman. She will be missed by all her many friends. The family wants to say a heartfelt thanks to those who made her passing peaceful, Earnestine Walker and Mary Fields.
