Dr. Michael Lawrence Daniel went to be with the Lord on Friday, August 24, 2018, in Swainsboro, Georgia after a battle with cancer. He fought a good fight, finished the race, remained faithful, and is receiving his crown of righteousness. He was born September 29, 1962 in Charlotte NC. Michael graduated from Brookland Cayce High School in Cayce S.C. He spent his life as a loved and well respected educator. He graduated from Francis Marion University with a BA in Economics and a MA in Divergent Learning. He received his Doctor of Education from the University of Southern Mississippi. He taught at Florida Atlantic University, Francis Marion University, University of Southern Mississippi and Georgia Southern University. He taught Public School in South Carolina, and in Georgia in Jenkins county, Bulloch county, and most recently at Swainsboro High School.
He taught with academic skill, love and a sense of humor. He was a member of the Swainsboro First United Methodist Church. Michael is survived by his wife, Barbara, his beloved children, his parents William and Barbara Daniel, his birth mother Faye Cicchetti (Tony), his sister Jennifer Arnold (David) and his nieces. A celebration of Life will be held at Northside Baptist Church in Lexington, SC on Thursday, August 30 at noon. Family will receive friends one hour before the service.
