Mrs. Melvis E. Brown, 73, resident of Bartow,Georgia, died Wednesday morning at her residence.  Mrs. Brown was born in Augusta,Georgia daughter of the late William Laster and Ester May Glover Laster.  She was preceded in death by her parents, children Terry Wade Brown and Wanda D. Adams , a grandson William Daniel Phillips  and  sisters-Brenda Lord and Linda Walden. Mrs. Brown was a member of Old Bethel Baptist Church and was a homemaker.

Graveside services for Mrs. Brown will be held Friday morning at 11:00 A.M. in the Wadley Cemetery with Reverend Larry Fincher officiating.

Survivors include her husband-- W.P. Brown

Son Everett G. Phillips

Daughter-- Julie Griffin

Grandchildren-- Vincent Phillips, James Friday, Jackson Friday, and Jamie Adams

Brother-- Bill Laster
