Marilyn Leaptrott Paul Marilyn Leaptrott Paul, 84, of Wadley, died peacefully at Glendale Nursing Home in Wadley, on Tuesday, November 5th, following an extended illness. A native of Wadley she was the daughter of the late Jesse James Leaptrott, and Mary Lou (Shurling) Leaptrott, and the widow of the late Willam Doyle Paul. She was a member of the Wadley Baptist Church and had been an educator. Marilyn attended school in the Wadley Public School System. She attended Bessie Tift College in Tifton, after high school, and received a BS in English from Teacher's College in Statesboro. She earned a masters degree in English from Georgia Southern University. She was a dedicated language arts teacher at Wadley High School for over thirty years. Survivors include a son, Richard D. Paul (Deborah) ; daughter, Teresa Fulghum (Heyward); grand children, Sarah DuBose (Keith) of Hephzibah; Joshua Paul serving in the U.S. Air Force, stationed in England; Jesse Paul of Wadley; Lee Fulghum of Coleman Lake; and Jennifer Paul of Swainsboro; brother, Rev. Donald Leaptrott (Miriam) from Athens; along with nine great grand children, many cousins, nieces and nephews. Visitation will be at Smith Funeral Home on South Main Street in Wadley, Saturday November 9 at 2 pm. Memorial service will follow at 3.
