2-3-2015 Mrs. Mary Helen Newman, resident of Swainsboro, died Tuesday night at Emanuel Medical Center. Mrs. Newman was a native and lifelong resident of Swainsboro. She was the daughter of the late Ollie and Loyce Lane Grimes. She was a homemaker and a member of the Swainsboro First Baptist Church. Mary Helen and Bobby had been married for 63 years. Mrs. Newman was preceded in death by her son John E. Newman. Funeral services for Mrs. Newman will be held Saturday morning at 11:00 A.M. from the chapel of Tomlinson Funeral Home with Reverend Franklin Sasser officiating. Interment will follow in the Swainsboro City Cemetery. Pallbearers will be: Jeff McLeod, Ben Tyus, Danny Caldwell, Seth Peavy, and Greg Calhoun.
