Mrs. Mary Schwalls Gilmer, 91, resident of Swainsboro, died Sunday afternoon  in the Emanuel County Nursing Home.  Mary was a native and lifelong resident of Emanuel County, daughter of the late Lester Schwalls and Evelyn Cross Schwalls. She was a graduate of Swainsboro High School and had retired from Spivey Bank.  Mary was a member of  the Fisrt United Methodist Church of Swainsboro. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Dick Gilmer, son  Ricky Gilmer, and brothers Charlie Schwalls, Marvin Schwalls, and Rufus Schwalls.

Graveside services for Mrs. Mary Schwalls Gilmer will be held Wednesday morning at 11:00 A.M. in the Swainsboro City Cemetery with Reverend Franklin Sasser officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to  Pruitt Health Hospice, 667 S. Main Street, Swainsboro, Georgia 30401 , First United Methodist Church of Swainsboro , or to  a favorite charity in memory of Mary Schwalls Gilmer.

Survivors -- Grandsons Jim (Allison) Willis, Richard Gilmer(Jodi Brannen)

2 greatgranddaughters--Alli Mac Willis and Hattie Elizabeth Willis

Daughter in law--Elizabeth Gilmer

Several nieces and nephews, cousins and friends.
