Tomlinson Funeral Home announces the death of Mrs. Marie R. Johnson of Swainsboro on Tuesday, September 20, 2022 at her residence.

Funeral services will be Friday, September 23, 2022 at 11:00 AM in the chapel of Tomlinson Funeral Home with Rev. Cail Pressey officiating.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to service time.

Interment will be private.

Mrs. Johnson was born November 5, 1941 in Emanuel County to the late Elton Roberson and Vondelle Turner Roberson Sherrod.  Mrs. Johnson was of the Baptist faith and attended Hawhammock Baptist Church. She was retired from the Emanuel County School System. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Anthony Johnson, one brother Jack Roberson, and one sister Dot Dykes.

Survivors include:

Her Daughter: Angie Sanchez (Tony) of Atlanta, GA

Her Granddaughter: Hannah Sanchez of Atlanta, GA

Three Sisters: Wanda Youngblood (Wyatt) of Swainsboro, GA, Vicki Sherrod of Swainsboro, GA, and Roma Roberts of St. Louis, MO.

Several Nieces and Nephews

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made the Georgia Baptist Children's Home 9420 Blackshear Hwy, Baxley, GA 31513.

Tomlinson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements for the services for Mrs. Marie R. Johnson of Swainsboro.
