Tomlinson Funeral Home & Crematory announces the death of Mrs. Lillie Mae Mixon Wheeler age 87 of Augusta on Sunday, February 19, 2023 at Doctor's Hospital in Augusta, GA.

Funeral services will be Thursday, February 23, 2023 at 2:00 PM in the Tomlinson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Clint Sheppard officiating.

Interment will follow in the Kite City Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at Tomlinson Funeral Home Thursday, February 23, 2023 from 12:00 PM until the time of services.

Pallbearers are Tim Wise, Jack Wise, Logan Wise, Kevin Duncan, Dale Mixon, and Tom Wheeler.

Mrs. Wheeler was born in Lyons, GA to the late L.K. and Ealnor Williamson Mixon. She was of the Methodist Faith. Mrs. Wheeler loved to crochet, enjoyed making floral arrangements. In earlier years she enjoyed fishing and camping with her family. She also loved collecting decor with Angels and hummingbirds. Another great love was caring for her roses that were lovingly planted by her husband. In addition to her parents Mrs. Wheeler was preceded in death by her Husband Marcus Wheeler, and brother W.L. Mixon.

Survivors Include:

Her Daughters: Kathryn Hamilton (Calvin) and Annette Veal (Jay) both of North Augusta, SC.

Her Son: Mark Wheeler of Augusta, GA.

Grandchildren: Leslie Wise (Tim), Tommy Johnson, Crystal Wheeler, Jennifer Veal, Andy Johnson, and Rachel Federman (Reece).

Great-Grandchildren: Aysah Wheeler, Jack Wise, Olivia Lopez, Logan Wise, Natalie Wheeler, Chase Odland, Perry Johnson, and Grayson Federman.

Sisters: Shirley Duncan of Warthen, GA and Dorothy Bennett (Donnie) of Sylvania, GA

Brother: James Mixon of Kite, GA

Sister-in-Law: Jean Mixon of Banning, CA
