718 South Main St. Swainsboro, Ga. 30401 Ph. 478-237-3691 Obituary Notice September 16, 2011 Reverend Kenneth Putnam, age 76, of Vidalia, died Friday morning, September 16, 2011 at Community Hospice House, in Vidalia, Ga. Reverend Putnam was born in Lafayette, Ga. and was a lifelong resident of Southeast Ga. He was retired form the United States Navy. He was a member of Gateway Worship Center, where he was Associate Pastor. For the Past 54 years he pastored several churches in the counties of Emanuel, Wheeler, Treutlen, Toombs Appling, and Walker. He was preceded in death by his wife: Carolyn Holmes Putnam, a Brother: Jim Putnam, and a sister: Hazel Johnson. Funeral services will be Monday Morning at 11:00 am. in the Chapel of Tomlinson Funeral Home with Reverend Ron Drawdy and Reverend Don Drawdy officiating. Interment will follow in the Hawhammock Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be: Brian Logan, Aaron Putnam, Michael Putnam, Logan Brantley, Kevin Brigman, and Allen Braswell. Honorary Pallbearers will be: "Skeeter" Mercer, Charlie Hall, Eddie Lewis, Dr. Gregory Franz, Travis Barfield, Jack Chesney, and Reverend Jim Johnson, Larry Brantley and Morris Brantley. He is survived by: 3 daughters: Jan Brantley (David) of Swainsboro Karen Putnam (Neill) of Vidalia Sue-Zanne Johnson of Trion, Ga. 2 sons: Kenny Paul Putnam, Jr. of Valdosta, Ga. Charlie Martin Putnam (Jill) of Cleveland, Ga. 2 step-sons: Jimmy Hiers of Swainsboro Joey Hiers (Teresa) of Baxley, Ga. Step-Daughter: Deborah Archer (Larry) of Swainsboro, Ga. 18 Grandchildren 10 Great grandchildren 2 sisters: Charlene Mcintyre (Mack) of Albany, Ga. Norma Russell of Lafayette, Ga.
