February 17,2012 Mr. John Virgil Brett, 83, resident of Pinetucky Road, Wadley, died Friday evening,February 17, at Glendale Nursing Home in Wadley. Mr. Brett was born in Emanuel County and had lived in Wadley most of his life . He was a retired business owner and a member of Bethesda Primitive Baptist Church in Wadley. Mr. Brett had owned and operated a service station in Wadley for many years. He had served his country in the National Guard . Funeral services for Mr. John Virgil Brett will be held Monday morning at 11:00 A.M. at Bethesda Primitive Baptist Church with Elder Emerson Proctor officiating. Pallbearers will be : Dan Brett, Ty Brett, Byron Gelderman, Tommy Dukes, Bryan Watkins, and Steven Ford. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Bethesda Primitive Baptist Church in memory of Mr. John Virgil Brett. The Family will receive friends at Smith Funeral Home Sunday evening between the hours of 6-8 P.M..
