2/25/13 Mr. John Edward Boatright, age 70, resident of Swainsboro, died Monday afternoon at his residence. Mr. Boatright was a native and lifelong resident of Swainsboro. He had retired from the maintenence industry. He was a veteran of the United States Army. He was preceded in death by his parents Edward and Carolyn Curl Boatright and a son, James Edward Boatright. John was a member of Springhill Baptist Church. Funeral services for Mr. Boatright will be held Wednesday morning at 11:00 a.m. from the chapel of Tomlinson Funeral Home with Reverend Louis Pearce officiating. Interment with military honors will follow in the Swainsboro City Cemetery. Pallbearers will be - Frank Ellis, Jason Carmichael, Jerry Kersey, Jonathon Edge, Johnny Hadden , Asa Garrett, and Joey Crapps. Honorary pallbearers will be the staff at Dr. Prasads office . The family will receive friends at Tomlinson Funeral Home Tuesday evening from 6-8 P.M. and will be at their home.
