Joel Allen Powell, 66, resident of  Adrian, died Saturday morning at Emanuel Medical Center.  Joel was born in Jenkins County, son of the late John Powell and Evelyn Tanner Powell. He had retired  from  heavy equipment maintenance .  Joel was a member of Hebron  Baptist Church.

Funeral services will be held Monday afternoon at 2:00 P.M. from Hebron  Baptist Church with Reverend Irvin Stapleton and Patric Kersey officiating.  Pallbearers will be  Thomas Sconyers, Ted Sconyers, Will Kersey, Michael Powell, Keith Powell, and David McNeely.   Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
