Tomlinson Funeral Home & Crematory announces the death of JoAnne Collins Scarboro age 83 of Midville on Saturday, April 18, 2026, at Doctor's Hospital in Augusta.

JoAnne was born in 1943 to the late Robert and Mary Morris Collins. After graduating high school, she moved to Atlanta to become switchboard operator for Southern Bell. For a time, she was a homemaker in 1979 she began working for Forstman/JP Stevens until its closure in 1998. From 1990 – 2008 JoAnne worked at Gracewood. She was certified in water treatment. Upon retirement she continued to enjoy her passion for gardening. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sons Michael Scarboro, Anthony Scarboro, Donnie Scarboro and grandson Don V. Scarboro, Jr.

She is Survived by:

Her Daughters: Tammy S. Attaway (Ben) of Wrightsville, and Becky S. Wallace of Washington, GA.

Sisters: Sue C. Johnson of Stillmore, Kasy Collins of Interlachen, FL, and Debra C. Faircloth (Greg) of Rincon.

Brother: Buddy Byrd (Lois) of Soperton

Grandchildren: Brooke A Parrott (Nick) of Wrightsville, Courtney A. Adams (Will) of Wrightsville, Bentley Jo Attaway of Wrightsville, Anna Wallace of Washington,

Great-Grandchildren: Collett Adams, Blaire Parrott, and Cami Parrott.

Graveside services will be Monday, April 20, 2026, at Nail's Creek Baptist Church Cemetery near Bartow, GA at 3:00 PM with Mr. Sammy Newsome officiating.
