Tomlinson Funeral Home & Crematory announces the death of Mrs. Jo Ellen Green Dotson age 81 of Monticello, GA on Friday, April 7, 2023 at Grady Memorial Hospital in Atlanta, GA following a brief illness.

Graveside funeral services will be Wednesday, April 12, 2023 at 12:00Pm in the Hawhammock Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery.

Mrs. Green was born in Riddleville, GA to the late Raymond Lacey and Emma Julia Wiggins Jackson. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ Latter-Day Saints. Mrs. Dotson enjoyed working, kayaking with her husband and being outdoors. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her daughters and son: Petra Danyell Green, Porchia Dareck Green, and Beau "Little Beau" Green as well as her sister Harriet Easily.

Survivors Include:

Her Husband: Stephen D. Dotson of Monticello, GA

Her Daughter: Preppi Kitchens (Brent) of Oxford, GA.

Sisters: Connie Jackson of Sandersville, GA, Linda Baulker of New Hope, AR, Becky Mustene, Patricia Banks, and Tammy Thrift.

Brother: A.C. (Buddy) Thrift, Jr.

Numerous other relatives and extended family.
