September 10, 2015 Mrs. Jean V. Scarboro, 92, resident of Bartow,GA, died Thursday September 10, 2015 at GRU in Augusta. Mrs. Scarboro was born in Pennsylvania , daughter of the late George and Ellen Jones Koons and had lived in Bartow for 50 years. She owned and operated a Gas and Grocery Store for many years and was a homemaker. Jean was a member of the Bartow Baptist Church. Jean was preceded in death by her parents and her husband Milton Scarboro. Graveside services for Mrs. Jean V. Scarboro will be held Monday morning at 11:00 A.M. from Nails Creek Church Cemetery with Reverend Michael Williams officiating. The Family will receive friends at Smith Funeral Home Sunday evening between the hours of 6-8 P.M.
