Janis Hopkins Drake, resident of Midville, Georgia, died Sunday, May 2, 2021 in Augusta, Georgia.  Janis was born in Emanuel County, daughter of the late Elzie Hopkins and Emma Hutcheson  Hopkins.  She was preceded in death by her brothers, Charles Ray Hopkins, Thomas Hopkins, and Wendell Hopkins, her sister Shelba Jean Hopkins Hall  and her husband William "Billy" Drake.

She attended Midville  Baptist Church where she was very faithful in her attendance in Sunday School and Church.  She sang in the Church Choir.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, May 6, 2021 at 1:00 P.M. from the Midville Baptist Church with  Reverend Daryl Cox and Reverend Terry Quick officiating.  Interment will follow in  Hawhammock  Baptist Church Cemetery.  Pallbearers will be : Scotty Hall, Darrell Hall, David "Spec" Hall, David Hopkins, Nicky Drake, Jeff Drake, Micky Frederick and Landan Frederick.  The Family will receive friends at Tomlinson Funeral Home Wednesday evening between the hours of 6-8 P.M.

Survivors include  sister--Nell West

3 sisters in law--Gail Edenfield, Gail Drake, and Susie Bishop

Several nieces and nephews

Her  "Fur Babies-- Scooter, Jill, Drake, Ralph and Packey
