Mrs. Jane West Wren, (MaJane)  age 89 of Swainsboro passed away on Sunday, August 26 at Emanuel Medical Center Nursing Home after a long illness. She was born to Ernestine Outlaw West and BV West, who passed away shortly before her birth on June 15, 1929. She lived in Swainsboro all of her life, attending Swainsboro High School and Georgia Teachers College.

A devoted wife, daughter, mother and friend, she had a great sense of humor and Loved to  do for others.  She loved her needlework, going to her children and grandchildrens activities  and ball games, cooking for family and others.  She loved her Church, Calvary Methodist where she was the oldest member.  She was retired from Swainsboro Gas Company after 30 years as bookkeeper.

MaJane was predeceased by her parents;  beloved husband of 57 years Homer G Wren,

and her brother Robert E West Sr.

She is survived by her Sons, Robert Jordan Wren (Kelly) and Hugh Wren, both of Swainsboro

And her daughters , Anne W. Rountree (George) of Statesboro  and Nancy W. Stroud (RoyLin) of Swainsboro.

She was a great MaJane to her grandchildren Jason Farmer (Whitney) Justin Wren (Jessica) Shanda Hall (Matt), Wesley Wren (Brittany) Sable W. Fleming (Mitch)  , Britney Dawkins (Mark) Brandy Butler Lamb (Matt) and Lindsay Stroud (Rocky Davis)  and several great grandchildren

Palbearers will be grandsons : Jason Farmer, Justin Wren , Wesley Wren, Mitch Fleming and nephews, Billy West , Jim Willis and Richard Gilmer.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 28 at 10 am at Tomlinson Funeral Home in Swainsboro with the funeral  service following at 11 am in the Chapel.   Burial will follow in the Swainsboro City Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to Pruitt Hospice , 667 South Main Street, Swainsboro 30401 or the Historic Dixie Theatre Renovation Project c/o Dowmtown development 101 West Main Street , Swainsboro, Ga 30401
