August 7,2012 Mr. James Elmer Palmer, age 89, resident of Swainsboro, died Tuesday evening at Emanuel Medical Center. Mr. Palmer was born in Johnson County, GA and had lived in Swainsboro for many years . Mr. Palmer had been a service technician in the textile industry. He was a member of the Norristown Baptist Church and was a World War Two Army Veteran. Mr. Palmer was preceded in death by his wife Dicy Palmer, his parents Willie and Lavada Palmer and a brother Harrison Palmer. Memorials may be made to Norristown Baptist Church, PO Box 13 Adrian, GA 31002. Funeral services for Mr. James Elmer Palmer will be held Friday morning at 11:00 A.M. in the chapel of Tomlinson Funeral Home with Reverend Franklin Sasser and Reverend Joe Bedgood officiating. Interment will follow in the Mt. Zion Cemetery in Norristown. Pallbearers will be : Brandon Palmer,Jason Mitchell, Richie Gay,Heath Palmer,Ashley Colston, and Von Wilson. The Family will receive friends at Tomlinson Funeral Home Thursday evening between the hours of 6-8 P.M. and will be at the residence of Alton and Judy Palmer in Adrian.
