TOMLINSON FUNERAL HOME 718 South Main St. Swainsboro, GA 30401 Ph. 478-237-3691 8/10/2013 Mr. James A. Lovins, age 83, died Saturday morning at Oxley Park Health and Rehabilitation in Lyons, Georgia. Mr. Lovins was born in Emanuel County and had lived here for 68 years. He was the son of the late Joseph and Mary Lovins. Mr. Lovins was preceded in death by a son, James David Lovins, a daughter in law, Ann Lovins, and two sisters Mattie Lou Boatright and Josephine Boatright. Mr. Lovins had served as assistant postmaster in Swainsboro for 20 years. He was a United States Army Veteran having served in the Korean Conflict. He was a past member of the Swainsboro Lions Club and the Swainsboro Exchange Club. Mr. Lovins was a member of the First Baptist Church of Swainsboro. Memorial services for Mr. James A. Lovins will be held Monday August 19,2013 at 7:30 P.M. from the Chapel of Tomlinson Funeral Home with Reverend Emory Fennell officiating.Interment will be in Eastbrook Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Georgia Heart Institute, University Hospital,1350 Walton Way, Augusta,GA 30901 or to the American Heart Association in memory of Mr. Lovins.
