Obituary

Mr. James Larry Hall, 75, resident of Swainsboro, passed away Friday in Augusta, Georgia.  Larry was born in Swainsboro, son of the late Hoke and Burma Chapman Hall .He was retired from Custom Furniture.   Larry was preceded in death by his parents and his sister Gail Hall Pavlakos

Larry was deeply loved by his family and friends.  He enjoyed nothing more than spending quality time with his loved ones using birthdays and any holidays as a reason to bring everyone together.  He had a calm and confident presence and a great "dry" sense of humor.  He didn't laugh easily but when he did it brought joy to all those around him.  When he was a young man he enjoyed the outdoors, often hunting and fishing on weekends.  He had a great interest n American history.  He was an avid reader, specifically about World War II and the American Civil War, amassing a small library on the subjects.  He was a passionate sports fan and a loyal supporter of the Atlanta Braves, the Georgia Bulldogs, and his beloved ECI Bulldogs.  He loved to get together to watch a big game with a tailgate menu.  He never missed an ECI football game, either attending in person when his health permitted or listening on the radio.

In 1988 he met the love of his life, Dianne.  They married in 1997 and remained devoted to each other until his death.  Larry gained three children in that marriage and his greatest legacy will be his children and grandchildren whom he loved dearly.
