Mr. James Edward Edenfield, age 86, died Sunday January 10,2016 at The Place in Augusta . Mr. Edenfield was born in Stillmore ,son of the late Allen and Kittie Martin Edenfield. He was preceded in death by a brother Junior Edenfield and three sisters, Betty Singletary, Marjorie Moore, and Christine Edenfield. Mr. Edenfield was a lifelong resident of Emanuel County , Lexsy , GA. He had been employed by Great Dane Trailers in Savannah for many years before returning to the family farm to take care of his parents and the farm. He was a member and Deacon of Southside Baptist Church in Swainsboro. He was a Korean War Veteran having served in the United States Army.

Mr. Edenfield loved the Lord, his country and his family.

Graveside services with military honors for Mr. James Edward Edenfield will be held Wednesday afternoon at 2:00 P.M. from New Hope Cemetery . Pallbearers will be Herman E. Kersey, John Moore, Richard Kersey, Brian Kersey, Robert "Red" Mock, Louis Schleins ,Gerald Edenfield,  and Joe Blanchard.

Survivors include many nephews and nieces that he loved like his children.

The Family would like to express their gratitude to the staff at The Place and Gentiva Hospice for the care given to Mr. Edenfield.
