Mr Ivy Lee Stewart, Sr., 77, passed away late Tuesday night at East Georgia Regional Medical Center in Statesboro. Mr. Stewart was born December 6, 1947 in Louisville (Jefferson County) to Julius Aubrey "Mike" and Ivy Ruth Wise Stewart. He was preceded in death by his parents, sister, Carol Wallace, and wife of 40 years, Welda Stewart.

Mr Stewart retired in 1987 from Brown & Williamson as a sales representative and enjoyed umpiring for high school baseball for many years. When not umpiring, Lee enjoyed fishing, watching the Braves and tending to his backyard garden.

Mr. Stewart is survived by his children, Natalie (Todd) Durden of Swainsboro, Ivy Lee, Jr (Chawny) of Swainsboro, Kacie Stewart of Wrightsville, grandchildren Michael (Gabby) Durden of Swainsboro, Jeb (Amber) Stewart of Statesboro, Lelyn (Daniel) Overstreet of Swainsboro, Christopher Durden (Katie Ruff) of Savannah, Jonathan Watkins of Wrightsville, great grandsons William Durden and Cooper Overstreet, brothers Roscoe "Rocky" (Alecia) Stewart of Wadley, and Gene Stewart of Crossing Green Sister Bettilu (Charles) Smith of Wadley as well as a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.

Visitation will be Sunday, February 2, 2025 at 2pm followed by services at 3, all in the chapel of Tomlinson Funeral Home in Swainsboro. Pastor Tom Akins will officiate.
