Helen Iline Davis Rogers, age 87, of Blun passed away on
August 22, 2016
at the Emanuel County Medical Center Nursing Home in Swainsboro. She was born on

, the daughter of the late David Larkin Davis and Lizzie Dalceda Wiggins. Her loving husband Arthur Oneal Rogers, her brothers, Inman, Melvin, Clinton and Paul Davis and her sister, Thelma Powell preceded her in death. She is survived by her sister Peggy Ware of Jacksonville, Florida; children Bob and Beth Rogers of Rome, Judy and Larry Bennett of Nunez, William and Dale Rogers of Blun and John Paul Rogers of
Frederick
,
Maryland
; twelve grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Mrs. Rogers lived out her principles of faith in God, love of family and service to others on a daily basis. Mrs. Rogers was dedicated to serving the Lord at
Summertown
Baptist
Church
as a teacher and leader for many years where she impacted hundreds of lives. Her home was always open for family and friends to enjoy a home-cooked meal, down-home wisdom and something good to take home with you. Mrs. Rogers served as a volunteer in many community organizations including the Emanuel County 4-H Club program, the Summertown Food Pantry and the Wiggins Cemetery Association as a founding member and secretary-treasurer.
