Died, Thursday, June 21, 2012, at Carl Vinson VA. Hospital in Dublin, Ga. Mr. Purcell, formerly of Garden City, was born in Tattnall County. He had live in Stillmore since 1973. He was retired as Vice President of Spivey Bank and a member of the Garden City Baptist Church and was a United States Navy Veteran. He was preceded in death by his parents, Benjamin Franklin and Varona Jane Purcell, and a brother Howard Purcell. Funeral services will be Sunday afternoon at 2:00 pm., in the Chapel of Tomlinson Funeral Home with Reverend Louis Pearce and Mr. David Martin officiating. Interment will follow in the Stillmore City Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Grandsons: Desmal Purcell, Ryan Purcell, Cory Purcell, Vincent Zambito, Wes Tuttle, and Paul Nelson.
