Tomlinson Funeral Home & Crematory announces the death of Mr. George H. Ratchford, Sr. age 93 of Wadley, GA on Tuesday, September 12, 2023, at Keysville Nursing Home in Keysville, GA.

Funeral Services will be Friday, September 15, 2023, at 11:00AM in the Wadley Baptist Church with Rev. David Brown, Rev. Tom Harrison, and George H. Ratchford, III officiating.

Interment will follow the Coleman Chapel Methodist Church Cemetery with Military Honors.

The family will receive friends Thursday, September 14, 2023, from 6:00-8:00PM at the Wadley Baptist Church.

Mr. Ratchford was born in Atlanta, GA to the late George H and Lois Ferris Ratchford. He graduated from Druid Hills High School and served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. Mr. Ratchford was a member of the Wadley Baptist church. He owned and operated the Ratchford Trucking Company. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Janice Meadows Ratchford.

Daughter: Donna Dollar (Bobby) of Wadley, GA

Grandchildren: Rachel Ratchford (Mel), George Ratchford, III (Lyndsey), Thomas Ratchford (Breanne), & Jennifer Dixon (Jason)

Great-Grandchildren: Thea Ratchford, Jacob Dixon, Daniel Dixon, Levi Dixon, Samuel Dixon, Will Kirk & Lexi Kirk
