Tominson Funeral Home & Crematory announces the death of Mr. Fred Grimes "Freddy" Mason Jr. age 60 of Swainsboro on Wednesday, February 22, 2023 at the Emanuel Medical Center.

Funeral Services will be Saturday, February 25, 2023 in the Tomlinson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jack Whitehead officiating.

Interment will follow in the Swainsboro City Cemetery

The family will receive friends at Tomlinson Funeral Home on Saturday, February 25, 2023 from 12:00 PM until the time of services.

Pallbearers are Dustin Watkins, Michael Bender, Stuart Mason, Cameron Watkins, Shannon Mason, Chuck Mason.

Mr. Mason was born in Swainsboro GA to the late Fred G. and Reba Grace Whitehead Mason Sr. He was member of the Georgia National Guard. Freddy loved watching football with friends and family; was a very helpful man always more than happy to lend help whenever needed for anything and always loved making new friends. He dearly loved his grandchildren. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his son Matthew Douglas Mason, grandparents Leonard & Myrtle Mason; Jack and Lenora Skinner Whitehead.

Survivors Include:

His Sons: Fred G. "Trey" Mason, III (Jade) and Eric Scott Mason (Brittany)

His Grandchildren: Aden Mason, Dallin Mason, Dekota Mason, Kiley Mason, Landon Mason, Caroline Mason, and Owen Cheeks

Sisters: Frances Mason Bender and Tammy Mason Watkins (Glen)

Nieces and Nephews: Michael Bender, Tiffani Burns, Alexa Watkins, Dustin Watkins, and Cameron Watkins

Great-Nieces: Brynlie Burns, Brooklyn Burns, Millie Watkins, and Mason Watkins.

Many other extended family members.
