Susie Frances West Morris

12/28/1927 – 11/30/2021

Frances Morris of Wadley, GA died November 30, 2021, at the home of her daughter and son-in-law  in Louisville, GA.  She is survived by four daughters: Susan Morris Clark (Homer) of Louisville, Kathy Morris Hopkins (Bob) of Evans, Leigh Morris of Louisville, Anne Morris (Jo Ann) of Decatur GA, her Granddaughter Kimberly Clark Morse (Lou) and great granddaughter Alexis Morse of Reston, VA.

She was born in Sparta, GA on December 28, 1927 to Myrtle Warren West and Alfred West. She moved to Wadley as a young girl, graduated from Wadley High School as valedictorian of her class, then attended GSCW (Georgia State College for Women) in Milledgeville, GA.

She married Lamar Clinton Morris on November 17, 1947 and resided in Wadley where she raised her four daughters.  She was employed as Quality Control Supervisor for Oxford Industries in Wadley, GA.  Frances was an avid reader, loved crossword puzzles, traveling, and spending time her family.

The family would like to extend special thanks to Ruby Thomas and Corinthia LaFavor for their kindness and loving care for Mama in her time of need.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Wadley Methodist Church, PO Box 99, Wadley GA 30477.

Family will receive friends at the Wadley Methodist Church on Sunday, December 5, 2021 from 1 – 3 p.m. in the Social Hall.
