Mr. Everett E. (Gene) Stevens,  81, resident of Swainsboro, Georgia died  Saturday, September 12, 2020 at Emanuel Medical Center.  Gene was born in Emanuel County , son of the late Virgil Stevens and Sue Smith Stevens. He  was  preceded in death by his wife - JoAnn Stevens  and his second  wife Jerri Stevens , his son  Jeff Stevens, 2 great grandchildren, Chandler Stevens and Aiden Stevens, 2 brothers, H.S. Stevens and Tucker Stevens and 2 sisters, Margaret Duckworth and Ruth Roberts.   He had owned and operated A-1 Carpet Cleaners for many years.  Gene  retired from the National Guard  with the rank of  SSG after 21 years of faithful service.

Private Funeral services for  Gene Stevens will be held Wednesday, September 16, 2020 at 11:00 A.M. from the Chapel of Tomlinson Funeral Home with Reverend Ray Jenkins officiating. Interment with Military Honors will be at Swainsboro City Cemetery.  Pallbearers will be: Cody Canady, Jackson Anderson, Landen Stevens, William Boatright, Tommy Webb, and Andy Stevens.  The Family will receive friends at  Tomlinson Funeral Home Wednesday  morning at 10:00 A.M.

Survivors include his children-- Tim Stevens ( Diane )  and Stephanie Stevens
