9/27/2013 Mrs. Estel Woods Flanders, 92, died Friday at Emanuel Medical Center. Mrs. Flanders was a native and lifelong resident of Emanuel County. She played varsity basketball and graduated from Kite High School in 1940. Mrs. Flanders attended Sardis Primitive Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents Henry C. and Ola Peebles Woods, her husband of 68 years,Joe Wessie Flanders and sons Joel and Terry Flanders. Mrs. Flanders was a homemaker. Funeral services for Mrs. Estel Woods Flanders will be held Monday morning at 11:00A.M. from the chapel of Tomlinson Funeral home with Elder Gary Johnson and Mr. Fred Morgan officiating. Interment will follow in the Sardis Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Kip Crego, Mark Canady, Ryan Kersey, Trojan Harrison, and Jamie Henry.
