Mr. Luther Edward Covenah, 72, resident of Savannah , died Friday at Candler Hospital in Savannah.  Ed was born in Emanuel County son of the late Eddie L. and Pauline Scott Covenah. He was preceded in death by his parents, sisters Judy Horne  and Betty Highsmith. He had worked as an iron worker in the construction  industry. Mr. Covenah was a veteran of the United States Navy having served  aboard the USS Shasta.

Graveside services for Edward  will be held Tuesday April 4,2017 at 11:00 A.M. in Bithynia Church Cemetery with Reverend Michael Williams officiating.

Survivors include-- wife-- Dorothy Covenah

Sisters- Shelby Stowe, Francis Dickerson, and Diane Willson(Del)

brother in law--Floyd Highsmith
