Tomlinson Funeral Home announces the death of Mr. Donnie Kersey age 72 of Swainsboro, GA on Tuesday, September 14, 2021 at Emanuel Medical Center.

Graveside services will be Saturday, September 18, 2021 at 2:00pm in the Sardis Cemetery with Elder Tommy Rountree officiating.

Visitation will be Friday, September 17, 2021 at Tomlinson Funeral Home from 5-7pm.

Mr. Kersey was born in Adrian, GA to the late Elgin and Hattie Thompson Kersey. He was past member of Pilgrim's Rest Primitive Baptist Church. Mr. Kersey was retired from the Emanuel County Board of Education with the maintenance department. Donnie loved fishing, hunting, and going for walks. He was preceded in death by his wife of more that 40 years Dorothy Rowland Kersey.

Survivors:

Two Daughters: Karen Kersey of Swainsboro, GA and Susan Kersey (Kevin Johnson) of Swainsboro, GA.

Three Grandchildren: Dustin Gordy, Anthony Gordy, and Donnie Gordy.

One Great-Grandchild: Andios Gordy.
