August 21 ,2014 Mr. Donald Hooks, 56, resident of Oak Park, died Thursday evening at Emanuel Medical Center. Mr. Hooks was born in Swainsboro son of the late Clifton Hooks and Myrtle Tanner Slater. Donald lived in Emanuel County all of his life. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers- Bobby Hooks, Ray Hooks and Jimmy Hooks. Donald was employed by Handi-House Funeral services for Mr. Donald Hooks will be held Sunday, August 24,2014 at 2:00 P.M. from the Tomlinson Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Louis Pearce officiating. Interment will follow in the Oak Park City Cemetery. Pallbearers will be : Matt Jones, Jamie Jones ,Ricky Hooks,Charles Collins, Kyle Jones, Allan Hooks. Honorary pallbearers will be employees of Handi-House. The Family of Mr. Hooks will receive friends at Tomlinson Funeral Home Saturday evening between the hours of 6-8 P.M. and will be at the home of Angela and Joe Earls in Stillmore.
